At Proteme, we take our role as an eco-friendly company very seriously and strive every day to offer environmentally friendly processes.
It is our duty to protect and maintain our environment at every stage of our products’ life cycle, from development and production to customer use and consumption.
Together, let’s aim to protect and improve our environment for a green and sustainable society!
A problem
The transition of our production methods undertaken in France for many years now is gradually accelerating towards a more responsible and more sustainable consumption. The collective awareness of the urgency to rethink our agriculture is now benefiting from the support of Europe, which is legislating to gradually eliminate substances that are harmful to health and the environment.
This positive dynamic can sometimes lead to a perverse effect where the producer can only use an increasingly limited number of authorized substances while sustainable alternatives are slow to emerge. This paradoxical situation is holding back the players in the sector from converting to more sustainable production methods that are also more sensitive to climatic hazards and conservation issues.
Convinced that “ecologically intensive agriculture” is the only possible future capable of meeting the growing demands for sustainability and supply, Proteme has taken on the challenge of providing an additional solution to producers.
An answer
We are committed to addressing current environmental and societal issues. This is why we have developed a sustainable and eco-responsible food coating solution, Prosane, which aims to protect and extend the shelf life of fruits and vegetables.
Our food coating is part of a strong ecological approach through its eco-design based on by-products from organic farming and its 100% edible aspect. It stands out through its simplicity and its many active properties.
In addition, Prosane© preserves your fruits and vegetables, without denaturing them: you can therefore continue to enjoy them without moderation!
By including ourselves in a dynamic of circular economy, our entire production process is developed with a view to limiting its impact on the environment.
